Breezing Along
This is a Candace Lovely thesis sentence. From top to bottom: Prismatic light in a sky background creating overlap. Pink parasol, with the sunlight offering shadow and translucence in the delicate pink fabric. Fair woman figure as central subject – both “main,” and centrally situated, draped in reams of flowing white ruffles and pleats, offering added femininity with the off the shoulder drop. Sand and sea surrounding the central figure is still the star. Last but not least, the inclusion of a symbolic visual as the model is both literally reflecting in the tidepool and figuratively reflective in her stroll down the shore. Ironically, this painting which incorporates every Candace Lovely signature element, ended up with a non-traditional color for the artist’s actual signature. The piece is signed in a crème gold, as opposed to her trademark Lovely red.
