Infinity
Like Lovely’s “Volcano,” Infinity was painted poolside in the U.S. Virgin Islands, but with an actual volcano and the artist herself stepping in as the subject. The title a play on words for the infinity pool and the infinity shape of the featured figure, this piece brings a coastal nod to Hilton Head with a candy-striped lighthouse and a Lovely-esque wide-brimmed sun hat. Chunky brush strokes confined to the under-cloud portion of the background blend into a smoother foreground with the artist (and subject) both figuratively and literally “reflecting.”
