The idea for this exhibition, Good and
Plenty Candace Lovely, springs from a candy born in the 50's. The goal and
play of the art is a study in contrasts. Opposites attract! Shapes, colors
and ideas complete the show.
Using the opposite values of white and black with a medium
hue of pink is continuous in many different subjects and helps explain how
opposites attract. In these examples black and white are the
opposites, but because it lacks in other opposites like blue and yellow,
it makes you think of what is missing and think of what is responsible for
attracting the viewer to a painting..
